Watercolour Prints of Wild Flowers
The painting of watercolours of Scottish wild flowers represents a departure from landscape painting in terms of the different palette used. No attempt was made to paint in a strict botanical style but rather to adapt the painter's individual style to this specialised subject.
The original watercolours were done from observing wild flowers in their natural environment around Lasswade in Midlothian and in the Borders.
